Parent Consultations
Parenting NI's Parenting Forum, as an independent organisation, is well placed to carry out consultations with parents on behalf of government Departments and other agencies.
The consultation process is designed to provide parents with an important opportunity to share their views, to have a voice and to influence decisions that are made about changing the lives of children and young people in Northern Ireland.
When consulting with parents, the Forum will develop a consultation pack agreed with the commissioning agent to ensure a uniform approach to collecting and collating the views of parents and both qualitative and quantitative information is recorded.
In recent months the Forum has carried out consultations with parents on topics as diverse as .......
- Post Primary Review of Catholic Education in Northern Ireland (on behalf of NI Council for Catholic Education)
- New Community Safety Strategy for Northern Ireland (on behalf of Community Safety Unit, Dept of Justice). Please click here to view the Summary of Responses.
- Review of Youth Justice (on behalf of Dept of Justice)
- Review and Priority Setting for Childcare Partnership Planning (on behalf of Northern Childcare Partnership)
If you would like further information on the consultation process or would like to speak to someone about engaging the Parenting Forum for consultation, please contact Alison McNulty on telephone number 028 9031 0891.
