Is it confidential?

Yes ... Parenting NI helpline clients can remain anonymous if they wish to and all information which is shared will be treated as confidential - within the limits of our Code of Confidentiality* (see below).

Parenting NI helpline volunteers and staff members discuss their work with their Supervisor to ensure that we provide a useful and quality service, however these Supervisors are also bound by our Code of Confidentiality.

No one else will be told that you have been in contact with us, and no third parties will be contacted about your circumstances without your consent.

Calls may be monitored for quality assurance purposes.

Calls are treated as confidential, and will not be revealed to others without your consent.
The exception to this policy is where there are allegations of child abuse which cannot, by law, be kept secret, or where a serious offence has been committed or threatened.
The Parenting NI helpline does not use 'Call Return' or 'Caller Display' facilities. The 141 code is automatically in place when returning calls to clients.
